Classic panna cotta Italian recipe
Ingredients
250 Double cream or heavy cream
250ml whole milk
80gr icing sugar
6gr sheet gelatin
1 Vanilla pod (alternative 1 teaspoon of vanilla natural extract)
Panna cotta preparation
To prepare this Italian classic dessert we will follow a few simple steps:
Start by placing your gelatine in water for 12 min.
While the gelatine is in the water, take your vanilla pod, cut off the ends and with the knife open in the middle
Prepare a medium pan with the double cream and the icing sugar worm mix it with the help of your whisk in low power hit, and make sure the mix doesn’t boil.
Once the mix is warm, add the vanilla and keep moving the mix, making sure don’t boil and give it a couple of minutes
Add the gelatine to the worm mixture and continue stirring until the gelatine is completely dissolved.
Add the mil to the mix and keep mixing the warm mix
Remove the vanilla pod (if you add it ) from the mix
Take a small form or a glass and drop mix in small portions, around 150 ml each
Place in the freezer and let it sit for 3 to 4 hours.
